AC Milan have been linked with two separate takeover bids by US owners.
The Italian team are currently owned by Luxembourg-based Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux, after having previously been controlled by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s holding company, Fininvest, until April 2017.
One bid comes from the Ricketts family who are owners of the Chicago Cubs baseball team, and they are are interested in “a medium-to long-period investment” and want to create “a strong bond with the city”.
Rocco Commisso, owner of the New York Cosmos football team, is also said to be in negotiations with the club and is looking the more likely to be succesful.
