Australian broadcaster to stream FIFA World Cup show on Twitter

Australia’s SBS Television has announced it will be producing daily live shows of the 2018 FIFA World Cup which will be exclusively streamed on Twitter and available to its users in the country.

They will feature comments from soccer experts, match highlights, previews, recaps, and exclusive content. The best tweets with the hashtag #WorldGameLive will be showcased too.

Managing director of Twitter Australia, Suzy Nicoletti, is enthusiastic about this partnership with SBS, as it will allow users to keep up to date with the World Cup just by tuning into a single but comprehensive space.

Director of SBS Sport, Ken Shipp, thinks broadcasting football is a way of connecting Australian communities and he’s now excited to be doing so in such an innovative way, reaching people through new platforms and devices.
