Sky New Zealand and BeIN new football channel

Sky New Zealand has signed a four-year agreement with the Qatar-based BeIN Sports to launch of a co-branded channel on Sky NZ. The channel will broadcast a range of football coverage, including Europe’s two main club competitions, the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, as well as the 2020 UEFA European Championship national team tournament. In addition, the channel will show the top leagues in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Scotland and the US, along with Australia’s A-League.

“We are thrilled to further our collaboration with Sky,” said Mike Kerr, BeIN’s managing director for the Asia Pacific region. “We both share the same goal of bringing high-quality coverage and unparalleled sports experience to fans.” Tex Teixeira, Sky NZ’s director of sport, added: “We’d like to thank BeIN Sports for their brilliant cooperation in getting this channel off the ground and we look forward to many years of great football action on Sky Sport 7 BeIN Sports.
