DMG Media history

The Daily Mail was founded in 1896 by brothers Alfred and Harold Harmsworth. DMGT was incorporated in 1922 and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1932.

In 1982, dmg media launched The Mail on Sunday and debuted its free title, Metro, in 1999. The current Chairman is the fourth Viscount Rothermere.
