FC St. Pauli launch new video platform

The German football team Hamburg St. Pauli will be the first sports club to deploy the Jupiter end-to-end sports online video service.

The system provides a custom designed data engine which dynamically captures a variety of information from the live action on the pitch to create multiple feeds of video, statistics and screen graphics which enhance the broadcast.

The data can also be combined and manipulated in order to give the viewers the possibility to access their favorite scenes and live on-screen analysis.

The Jupiter service allows FC St. Pauli to watch live on-screen animation, showing player positions and ball trajectory which, combined with a dedicated online stream, supplements rolling text-based ticker information with additional dynamic visual content.

Regarding TV rights, this technology makes social media sharing easy for viewers, and it will prove valuable to any sports team wishing to broadcast directly to fans, but not in possession of live TV rights.
