Canal+ has lost the rights to broadcast the French Ligue 1 football matches for 2020-2024.
Spanish broadcaster Mediapro secured the rights in a surprise deal worth a record €1.15 billion per season.
Mediapro won the rights to three out of the seven lots on offer, including the top two tiers, with two lots still up for grabs.
